Some remarks on the user-oriented library services

Abstract

The author's expectations of a major improvement in library services with the advances in reprographic, micrographic and computer technologies are described. The dissemination of these technologies make the library users able to use the large databases causing several changes in present library services as well. The users' demands should be surveyed and these should be comprehensive surveys to be repeated periodically.
