Hungarian panorama on potential and real needs towards patent information

Abstract

Patent information has an important role in innovation process because it renders the most up-to-date results. It is a well founded claim that current completion and up-to-dateness of technological knowledge is not possible without patent information. The author — based on a fact finding investigation of the National Patent Office (Országos Találmányi Hivatal) in 1983 — on the possibilities and needs of the Hungarian users concerning patent information.
