A quarter of century in the service of scientific and technological advances

Abstract

The Central Scientifíc and Technical Information Institute CINTI as the leading organisation of the Bulgarian information system was established in 25 August 1959. This overview written in the occasion of the 25th anniversary of CINTI's existence describes the rules and regulations associated with the operation of CINTI, and presents its development. Special attention is given to the results of computerised information services and also to the results of cooperation with VINITI and ISTTS. The overview concludes with the tasks envisaged for the future.
