Needs for and realization constraints ofan information policy in Hungary. On the information policy in sciences and social sciences

Abstract

The author raises three issues: Does this country need a national information policy? If so, how and what aspects to consider? Which are the constraints to be faced by an information policy? Answering these questions, the author concludes that, under the present circumstances, several obstacles exist restricting a national information policy. However, an information policy does have to be established by clearing some issues and through common efforts.
