Principles of packet switching and the activities of the Hungarian PTT in its application II.

Abstract

The present 2nd part (its first part was published in No. 12 of Vol. 1986 of this journal) overviews various solutions of telecommunication access to databases, and compares the costs of the different access methods. Tariff structures of three existing packet switched public data networks are analysed. Information on the current configuration of the public data nelwork of the Hungarian PTT, and details about the characteristics of the experimental packet switching exchange installed in the Central Telegraph Office of the Hungarian PTT are given.
