Abstract

Each element of library technical processes can be described as a service in itself, because, through accomplishing a series of modular tasks, actually the various departments are providing services, even if these services are not targeted at users. Preparing and assisting a system of internal services is created, under everybody within the institutions provides services. The staff members at the Library of HAS attach great importance to the quality of services at all points in the service chain, since only this enables users at the end of the chain to obtain quality services. The system of internal services unites the tasks related to collection organisation, cataloguing and information technology into a coherent system.
