The role of scientific and technical information in technology transfer

Abstract

The successful and efficient transfer of technology is a basic requirement in Hungarian economy. In the relevant decision-making process information activities play a decisive role. The transfer process as well as the information-related factors involved in its components are presented in an integrated model. Subsequently, the components of the model are examined from the aspects of their information needs and, fínally, the major requirements of an information service for the transfer of technology are described.
