Developing regional library services in the region of the University Library in Miskolc

Abstract

In the article the extension of the group of companies cooperating successfully with the Heavy Industries Polytechnic University, Miskolc, Hungary, since 1971 is deseribed. As a result, the increased financial resources allow online connections to the major databases and, consequently, more efficient regional information supply and services can be provided. Regional efforts are especially motivated by the lack of comprehensive national programs on scientific and technical information.
