The way to hell is not paved with journals; Contribution to a case study

Abstract

Acknowledging the need for a more reasonable journal acquisition policy, the author criticizes the non-professional supervision and selection of the 1983 journal orders. The first part of the article is written in the form of an essay, while the second is based on data reflecting the case of the Library of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
