Abstract

The combined application of telecommunication and computer technology resulted in two new electronic mass information services, the one-way teletext and the interactive two-way videotex. In addition to the basic system design features and standardization achievements, the paper presents the main application fields, including the connection between online information systems and videotex. Some uses in this tieid are discussed in detail.
