The UAP and the Hungarian libraries

Abstract

The implications of UAP (Universal Availability of Publications) in several areas of the national library system (cooperation, stock building, bibliographic control of the national literature and its representation in union catalogues, interlending) are analyzed. It is ascertained that the trend of development is favourable, but some basic tasks are still to be solved to achieve the objectives of the UAP program in Hungary.
