Changes in the number of users and in the use of documents in special libraries (1970-1978), with special regard to the local organizations

Abstract

Based upon statistical data of 1970, 1974 and 1978 the following parameters of special libraries are evaluated: the number of users, the demand for documents and the international exchange of publications. The dala - mainly the figures on interlending — indicate that local special libraries and those functioning at the national level should take more actions to impmve cooperation and the "awareness of each other".
