Abstract

The documentalist's many-sided responsibility for the development of the terminology in special fields is investigated. The documentalist often happens to be the first person to come across new concepts and expressions which could be either applied in the Hungarian text without translation or translated so that the new concepts be compatible with those used in other languages, sometimes in slightly different forms.
