Welcoming address to the Fourth National Conference on Librarianship

Abstract

The Fourth National Conference on Librarianship (Hungary) will be held in early June, 1981. On this occasion the article emphasizes the fact thai inflationary pressures necessitate a more intensive cooperation in the acquisition policies of primary documents and it predicts a possible increase in the number of users of special libraries and services. If lack of cooperation will lead to deficiencies in the acquisitions and availability of primary documents, this would possibly threat the growth of library usage.
