The ISTIS and the national information system of Hungary

Abstract

The promoton of the integration of the International Scientific and Technical Information System (ISTIS) and the national information system of Hungary, as well as a more purposeful utilization of this co-operation are suggested. In order to improve the information provision in Hungary, the co-operation shuld be increased 1/ among the national institutions of the same subsystems in different countries, 21 among the organizations of the International Sectoral Scientific and Technical Information Systems (ISSTIS) and the International Specialized Information Systems (ISIS) in the same country. The prerequisite of these goals, however, is a more decisive managemcnt policy for the development of the national information system.
