Information problems in forecasting of science and technology development

Abstract

The author considers information problems in the context of prognostic research. He differentiates - on the basis of various concepts concerning different interpretations of notions such as „information" and „future" - information for the needs of forecasting (dealing with the past and present) and prognostic information (which concerns the future and makes the „contents" of prognoses). In the present article there have been discussed different kinds of information connected with forecasting of science and technology development.
