Abstract

In order to establish and improve cooperation between the document-oriented and discipline-oriented (branch) subsystems of the International Scientific and Technical Information System (NTMIR) of the CMEA member countries, the International Center for Scientific and Technical Information (NTMIK) has been organizing annual coordinating conferences since 1975. The Third Coordinating Conference took place in Moscow, on 15-16 November, 1977. This report deals with the following subjets discussed at the Conference: the main directions of the activities of the Center, information technology and computer programs, the creation of complex information bases, information supply of long term cooperative R & D projects and methodology of information.
