SDI services in building information

Abstract

The author advocates the gradual modernization of the conventional methods of building information; the principle of selectívity should strictly be followed in the interest of the users. The article describes the services and publications of the Building Information Center (ÉTK): the current awareness and card services, the surveys of world standards, the survcys of demand of building products, the quick-index ,,Építéstervezés" (Building Design), the information service on building products and the series of selective data collections for planning and design. Finally, the author considers the possibiliiies of developing the system.
