The Miskolc Translation Office of the Hungarian Technical Library and Documentation Centre at the service of the regional integration of special libraries

Abstract

The Translation Office in Miskolc of the Hungarian Technical Library and Documentation Centre has been in operation since January 1975. Its activities have developed from 32 000 standard pages translated in the first year to 59 000 in 1977. The Office employs 187 part-time translators. The majority of translations (93 per cent of the total of the translated pages in 1976) were made from German, English and Russian.
