The unity of library and documentation in the Library of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences

Abstract

On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the foundation of the Library of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences author surveys the history of the Library, informs on its publications, its activities and its four, dosely related functions: acquisition, information, research and organization. Author emphasizes that the Library will intensify its efforts to participate more actively in the national and ínternational organization of social science information.
