The role of engineers in the process of technological development

Abstract

The Vice President of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) presented this paper at the meeting of the WFEO Executive Committee in Moscow, June 1978. It emphasizes the role of information in the technology transfer process and the role of the Committee in Engineering Information of the WFEO. Further important tasks of the Federation include the support of the development of the education and training of engineers, and the promotion of the establishment of national and international associations of engineers.
