Abstract

According to the structural aspects the fundamental phenomena of information science includes the text and its structure (infotmation itself), the mental structure of the recipient and changes in this structure, the structure of the sender (communicator) and the structuring of the text. Essential elements of all mforniation/communication processes are the intention aimed at the change of the structure, a certain knowledge of the structure to be influenced, and the efforts set forth in order to transform the structure. On the basis of the structural aspect, new trends of research may be established, rendering possible e. g. a more differentiated, refined structure and function, a deeper understanding of the information/communication process, and a better solving of one of the most important tasks of information systems: the restructuring of texts.
