On the Science Citation Index

Abstract

Based upon the guide prepared by the Institute for Scientific Information (Philadelphia) the article describes the structure and use of the data base and offers examples on SCI search techniques. The second part presents an analysis of the source journals processed in the SCI according to countries of origin and broad disciplines and subject fields.
