Abstract

Initiated and supported by Unesco, the International Committee for Information and Documentation in Social Sciences (ICIDSS) was established in 1950 in order to promote international information transfer and cooperation in the field of social sciences. To mark the latest session of the Committee held in Budapest, 5-7 April 1979, the author presents a brief account of its activities, publications and forthcoming tasks.
