Transformation of product structure and scientific-technical information

Abstract

One of the basic issues of the Hungarian economy is that of the updating of its product structure. Scientific and technical information can play an important role therein: based on scientific and technical information sources it can forecast the trends of development, the variation of the technical parametes of the products of market competitors, the life span of a product on the market and the time when development of a new product should be started. In order to provide relevant information different sources should be used for raw materials, technologies, components and final products, respectively. Based on the flow diagram of development, production and marketing activities scientific and technical information can select and process information and disseminate it to responsible specialists within anorganization, contributing this way to more effective decision making concerníng the transformation of the product structure.
