Flagged cards with indirect coding for processing lectures of IFLA conferences

The author describes the analytical processing method used for lectures held at IFLA conferences, introduced in the library of the Centre of Library Science and Methodology. A retrieval system is based on flagged cards with indirect coding, on A5 size marginal punched cards. Details are given of the card scheme design, the role of the positions on the marginal punched cards, the characteristics stored on the individual datafields, the bibliographic descriptions on the flagged cards. Finally the author explains the expected efficiency of the system indicating advantages and disadvantages of the retrieval with flagged cards.
