Abstract

Author questions if the information revoiution really exists. In order to support his arguments he explains the semantic content of scientific information and points out that the volume of information issued in various forms does not increase proportionally to the volume of new knowledge contained in these publications. In his opinion there is no question of revoiution, but rather of inflation in information, or „information pollution".
