Some characteristics of the organization of information and library networks in the western countries

Abstract

The article offers a brief survey about networking in western countries. The author outlines the concept, the aim and the components of networks, describes their typology and morphology, the characteristics and conditions of the co-operation of networks. Finally the article deals with the information policy from the point of view of network organization.
