Main trends towards automatization of the Scientific-Technical Information System in the Lithuanian S.S.R.

Abstract

Short presentation of the experiences relating to the development of an automated scientific-technical information system in the Lithuanian Soviet Socialist Republic. The system consists of various automated information subsystems. In the present stage of development the interest is directed mainly towards the automated subsystems of selective dissemination of information, retrospective retrieval, data documentation, as well as of the scientific-technical library network.
