The role of the Electronic Information Service National Programme in supplying libraries with international literature

Abstract

The Electronic Information Service National Programme (the national consortium of Hungarian libraries) licences databases for Hungarian institutions. We discuss certain aspects, advantages and disadvantages of the acquisition of and online access to literature, particularly in the light of academic and research libraries, and briefly describe the recent years of the national programme.
