Pentakta system of transparent microfiche

Abstract

The changing requirements of documentation for the R&D and the production as well as the rapid information flux and the necessity of the rapid exchange of informations have brought the various microfiche systems into prominence all over the world.
The Pentakta machine produced by VEB Pentacon, Dresden is of great importance from the víewpoint of the development of microfilm technique in Hungary and of the up-to-date international exohange of informations. This machine incorporates devices for preparation, processing, manifolding, reading and magnification of microfiches of 105x148 mm dimensions. All of the devices are extensively automated and can be operated in lit premises. Besides the fact that they are suitable for operating as a high-capacity production line, they can also be used as independent units. Some types of the machine permit to use and reverse film sizes other than the microfiches.
With a given machine the number of the devices required and their degree of exploitation are determined by the quantity and the rate or increase of the documents, by the frequency of their use and by the number of the copies required. Pentakta machines will be imported to Hungary in a short time.
