Cataloguing of audiovisual software

Abstract

The different audiovisual devices and methods play a part of increasing importance in communication and acquisition of knowledge, primarily in teaching, training and after-school instruction at different levels. Now, after the National Training Center has been established in Hungary, this up-to-date training method is expected to become general by increasing the number of audiovisual software necessary for "feeding" the audiovisual devices (hardware).
The rules of cataloguing the audiovisual software will expediently be specified by standards. The article gives a provisional guidance for the registrars of the software until these standards are elaborated.
The article is divided into two parts. The first outlines the general principles of cataloguing while the second contains detailed proposals for cataloguing the individual kinds of software.
