For information retrieval, classification codes, subject headings. free terms, descriptors of thesauri. authority data, ISBN or ISSN, country codes can be used. For information retrieval under non-library conditions, telephone number, personal identification number, table of contents text, book indicator word etc. can be used. They all are words of information retrieval languages or index terms which are words of documentary languages, entries/headings as well. Non-standardized free text search is the counterpart of searching with standardized index terms which can be performed by using subject headings, descriptors, authority data, notations etc. From the document's aspect, searches in fields determined only be entry/head-ing, e.g. by classification, subject heading, descriptor, ISBN field, as an entry field search, or by document description field (e.g. in the title field, abstract field), or by the full text of the document (as a free text search in text fields and full text search) can be distinguished.
