Abstract

The survey shows that the effectiveness of library functions is measurable but none of the evaluation methods can be regarded as a comprehensive one; the opinions of the specialists in library measurement differ considerably. The survey deals with the concepts associated with library evaluation and analyzes in detail user satisfaction, measurement of library capability, library use etc.
